When you use a basket at the grocery store, do you put the plastic divider on the belt in the checkout line?
I find that even though I put the basket on the belt to checkout, the shopper in front and behind always puts the divider down to separate the groceries. I don’t see why the cashier would be confused where my groceries begin and end if it is in the basket. Am I wrong?
Yes I do. One time I didn’t and I ended with groceries that wern’t mine and a big grocery bill. Had to wait while they sorted thru the bags to get out the stuff that wasn’t mine.
ROTFLMAO…that is a good one…I think everyone does that..I’m not sure why, but I have done it before. I guess its just force of habit…lol
no I never have any problems,I keep a eye on where mine starts/ends.
I put the divider down, sometimes those cashiers are pretty ditzy
I would put the dividers there if they actually had them. I shop at Wal-Mart and it almost always seems like I get the line that doesn’t have any dividers available to use. So I try to line up something I have to look like a separater between me and the person in front of me. When you think about it though, it’s not really necessary. We can talk. We can just TELL the cashier that this is where our groceries end and the next person’s begin!!

is it really worth anyone’s time to worry about a thing like this?
